WHAT IS IMMIGRANT THEOLOGY?
Immigrant Theology is made for Korean Immigrant church members in the United States. It is a contextual theology based in the USA to bring together common immigrant issues such as the language gap, differences in culture and society, and denominational diversities in theological idea. Because there is a gap in communication between Korean churches and Korean American churches, we aim to develop a Korean American immigrant theology through communication between Korean American theologians and Korean American church pastors in the USA.
WHAT IS OUR STRUCTURE?
There is one committee board consisting of one chairman, one vice-chairman and 10 board members.
The committee financially supports KAIT and meets twice per year. It is through their support and assistance that KAIT is able to successfully affect Korean American churches, leaders, and theologians.
Under Director Sang Cheul Oh, there are five departments:
- Immigrant Theology
- Immigrant History
- Immigrant Church
- Immigrant Society
- Next Generation
